Short biography
Manuela Coppola teaches English Literature at the University of Calabria. She holds a PhD in Anglophone Literatures and Cultures from the University of Naples ‘L’Orientale’ with a doctoral dissertation on “Caribbean genealogies: sublime mothers in Jamaica Kincaid’s narrative”. Her main interests focus on postcolonial theory and literature, gender studies, and Caribbean women writers.
Published work
She has published articles on Shakespearean rewritings, Jamaica Kincaid’s autobiographical project and South African women writers. She is currently researching on ‘fluid archives’ in contemporary Caribbean women poets and on Italian ‘migrant literature’.
